Buck Island Reef National Monument: Six thousand feet long and a half mile wide, uninhabited Buck Island rises 328 feet above seal level 1 ½ miles off the northeast side of the island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. Five miles from Christiansted, 19,015-acre Buck Island Reef National Monument includes the 176-acre island and 18,839 acres of submerged land and coral reef system.

Christiansted National Historic Site: For their first settlement the Danes chose a good harbor on the northeast coast, the site of an earlier French village named Bassin. Their leader Frederick Moth was a man of vision. He planned a new town – named Christiansted in honor of reigning King Christian VI – and had the island surveyed into plantations of 150 acres, priced to attract new settlers.

Salt River Bay National Historic Park and Ecological Preserve: Salt River Bay is a living museum on St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Prehistoric and colonial-era archeological sites and ruins are found in a dynamic, tropical ecosystem that supports threatened and endangered species.

Virgin Islands National Park: Virgin Islands National Park's hills, valleys and beaches are breath-taking. Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument: Virgin Islands Coral Reef Monument includes federal submerged lands within the 3 mile belt off of the island of St. John. These waters support a diverse and complex system of coral reefs, and other ecosystems such as shoreline mangrove forests and segrass beds that contribute to their health and survival.
